About T-Bones Destination Restaurant

T-Bones Restaurant is a steak restaurant based in Hawdref Ganol Farm in Neath

The First Mention of Hawdref Ganol Farm appears in 1686 when it was in the possession of the Evans Family of the Gnoll estate it passed through Marriage to Sir Humphrey Mackworth Knight, MP and pioneer of the copper industry in South Wales. In later years Hawdref Ganol Farm became the first Glamorganshire reformatory school it was established in March 1858.

The restaurant opened in July of 2001 further adding to the facilities offered at the farm.

Situated in the Neath Vale, we are perfectly situated for your celebration, meal out and even your function.

Steak House with a view

At T-Bones we take pride in quality. Renown locally our restaurant offers both Steak House and A-La Carte Menu’s and also has a fully licensed bar, function room and a nice conservatory with a lovely view over the Vale of Neath.


As we are open 7 days a week we offer a full dinner service on days that other restaurants in the area may not. Celebrate with your loved ones at T-Bones.

Bring the children

On site we have a small play area, so your little ones can have a run around before they sit down to eat, helping you all enjoy your meal at a relaxed pace.

When you bring your children here, they can also have look at the animals that are on site, they can see:

Wallaby, zebra, owls, alpaca, goats, ponies, rabbits, chickens

Why not browse the animals after your meal? Enjoy a short stroll after sunday lunch, let your food digest, and make more of an afternoon with your t-bones experience.

Festive / Holiday Experience

Also available during the festive period is a Father xmas experience, and the summer holiday a Peppa Pig experience, where your child can meet the animals, take part in crafts and much more – Booking essential for this extra.


Popular with mountain bikers, and hikers, located in the 17th century farmhouse next door, is our friendly and relaxed accommodation.

We have a variety of rooms, for individuals, couples, families and groups. All are of course en-suite.

The rooms are spacious with central heating, LCD T.V, tea and coffee making facilities, with panoramic views over the Vale of Neath.

Wi-Fi is available in the central area.
